Simon & Garfunkel indefinitely cancel all tour dates
Simon & Garfunkel recently announced the indefinite cancellation of their summer tour.
The duo, who began their tour at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, decided to continue touring throughout April. When Garfunkel noticed that his voice wasn’t quite up to par at the festival, the tour dates were rescheduled to July.
Now, citing Garfunkel’s “vocal strain,” all tour dates have been canceled. His doctors have said to expect a full recovery, but cannot predict when.
“I do feel bad about disrupting so many people’s plans but, as I continue to mend, I can’t yet bring my ‘A Game’ to a tour, and I would not perform for you with anything less,” Garfunkel said on the band’s official website.
So, if you were lucky enough to use your Simon and Garfunkel tickets at the New Orleans Jazz Fest, then you saw their only show in 2010! Stay tuned for news on the Simon and Garfunkel rescheduled tour dates.
